"Z"-trochanteric nailing

"Z"-trochanteric nailing

The "Z"-type trochanteric nailing has been developed  primarily in the surgical care of trochanteric fractures, for some cases of the hip fractures . The system combines the biomechanical advantages of the intramedullary nailing and the traditional, proven dynamic hip screwing. Because of the plenty of length and diameter ranges it can offer an excellent surgical alternative through the upper third of femur fractures, and even for many combinations of the leg fractures. The essential component of the system is that a dynamic hip screw is inserted into the femoral neck. The hip screw is capable of fracture squeezing, but it has a dynamic behavior during the healing. The fixing screw, which is inserted in the nail, ensures both the dynamization and the prevention of the rotation of the hip screw after the surgery. The aiming device is made from a radiolucent material.

Proximal femoral nailing

Proximal femoral nailing

The proximal femoral nailing offers a good osteosynthesis for the femoral neck fractures, for the trochanteric fractures and for the various fractures of the upper third part. In some cases of the femoral neck fracture, it could be necessary to prevent the rotation of the head, in favour of it a double neck screw ensures the stability of the rotation. The combination of the two neck screws could provide an increased strength for the system.

(TEP) Titanium Elastic Pin

The Medimetal’s Titanium Elastic Pin (TEP) primarily used to treat limb injuries in the childhood. The usage of one or more nails makes it possible to keep it in an anatomically correct position. The appropriate nail is only made of titanium. The special quality of material ensures a large load-bearing capacity and flexibility. The nails are available in five different diameters, which are easy to distinguish, because of the titanium with color, and biocompatible surface. The nails can be model during the surgery, and the two types of length can be cut on demand. The design of the ends of the nails are flattened and curved, which provides a better and more secure anchor opportunity.

Humeral nailing

Humeral nailing

The Medimetal’s humeral nail was developed for the care of the fractures of the diaphysis, occurring at different altitudes. In addition, the upper third fractures can be maintained easier, thanks to the proximal end, which ensures the locking position in three horizontal and an oblique plane. The insertion either from the anterograde or from the retrograde directions are also possible.

(MTT) Multilocking Tibial Treatment nail

(MTT) Multilocking Tibial Treatment nail

The tibia offers many indications through the diaphysis. Despite of the variable proximal locking supply, a multifunctional targeting arm helps, which is easy to use. During the operation you do not need to change the aiming attachments according to the locking directions. The aiming arm could be easily rotate to the right direction. For the right or left tibia, the same universal elements are required, only the right side of the attachment must be used. The distal targeting can be done with the support of X-ray image intensifier by hand.

Locking plate system

Small and large locking plate system

The Medimetal offers a full range of locking, angular stable plates for the everyday use. Through their usage, the modern principles of the ostheosynthes can be applied. The load transfer between the fractured bone ends ensures the circulation, they support the formation of the medullary and periosteal callus. With their complex design, the surgeon may use special thread stable screws, compressing or even neutral screws. The angular stable screws and plates are made of steel and titanium.

DTSS and DCSS system

DTSS and DCSS system

The DTSS (Dynamic Trochanteric Sliding System) and the DCSS (Dynamic Condylar Sliding System) are traditionally good for the condyle and trochanter fractures. The product manufactured  by the Medimetal Ltd. provides the full range of functions for this well-known system.  Both plates are integrated into a single instrument set, with the required dynamic and standard screws. The surgical technique follows the traditional procedural steps. The implants are made of steel and titanium alloy. The plates are available in locking, angular stable versions, with the best matching locking screws.

Polyaxial plates, distal radius plate

Polyaxial plates, distal radius plate

In case if the smaller fractures of the bones - particularly the ruined fractures - the optimal fixing direction can be widely varied. In this case, neither the conventional AO-screws, nor the locking screws do not provide any satisfactory results. Foot and hand surgery cases, but up to the shoulder and other small bones, the polyaxial plates are excellent alternative. Toothed lamellas are built according to the functional principle in the holes. The geometry of the lamellas are function along with the specially designed screws. The connection between the screw and the hole allows the surgeon (up to the case of fracture) with the freedom of + / - 15 ° degrees to choose the direction of the screw recovery. This polyaxial range ensures the connection of the special screw head and the lamellas. In case of some plates are generally cannulated fastening techniques may be used.
